Microdermabrasion

Treatment

This  Microdermabrasion skin rejuvenation treatment allows the perfect combination of exfoliation and stimulation for a healthy, balanced glow.

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that can be used to address sebum build-up, acne conditions, hyperpigmentation, signs of aging, photo-aging, and an overall dull appearance.  This treatment is known to stimulate collagen and elastin production. 

​

A diamond-tipped wand is passed over the entire face, removing the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells and revealing your own smoother, more radiant, healthier looking skin.  Microdermabrasion also increases the effectiveness and penetration of your skincare products.  This basic treatment includes a cleanse, tone, and hydration with spf.

Who can have it?

​

The ideal candidates are healthy adults who have relatively minor skin conditions or imperfections, as well as realistic expectations about what microdermabrasion can and cannot do.

​

Are there any contraindications?

​

If the microdermabrasion candidate has the following contraindications, he/she should not receive the procedure:

  • Current or recent use of isotretinoin (within 6 months of treatment) owing to the potential for hypertrophic scarring;

  • Facial surgery within the past two months;

  • Radiation therapy to the head;

  • A history of hypertrophic scarring anywhere on the body;  and,

  • Any bacterial or viral infections affecting the skin- such as impetigo, flat warts, and herpes simplex (this must be controlled with systemic therapy prior to undergoing microdermabrasion).

This Microdermabrasion Facial offers an elevated experience with remarkable results.  This service has all of the benefits of a basic Microdermabrasion but is more customized to your individual skin condition.

 

This treatment includes a customized cleanse, nutrient support,  eye & lip support, enzyme peel, diamond-tip Microdermabrasion, vacuum extractions (if necessary), custom masque, oxygen infusion of corrective serums (for deeper penetration), hydration and spf. 

 

This is an excellent resurfacing treatment, and assists in correcting sun damage, acne scars, enlarged pores, unbalanced skin tone, wrinkles and skin pigmentation.  Helps to reveal the natural beauty hiding beneath your epidermal layers and allow your skin to have a youthful and vibrant complexion.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a non invasive skin care procedure that exfoliates the surface layers of the skin through the use of a scalpel, and reduces the appearance of deep pitted acne scars, resulting in a smoother and more even complexion. Dermaplaning is designed to treat small, but deep scars that sometimes result from cystic acne.  Gentler versions of dermaplaning are sometimes used as exfoliating or vellus hair removal treatments.

Who can have it?

​

Dermaplaning may be an attractive option for those seeking to improve the tone and texture of their skin, or remove deep scars from acne without the possibility of irritation from chemical peels and the expense of laser skin resurfacing.  Although no treatment can fully eliminate all scars or flaws, dermaplaning typically produces excellent results.

​

Are there any contraindications?

​

Containdications of dermaplaning include:

  • Current inflamed acne lesions;

  • Skin cancer;

  • Active cold sores;

  • Uncontrolled diabetes;

  • Dermatitis;

  • Open skin lesions;

  • Use of Accutane currently or in the past six months; and/or

  • The use of prescription retinol within a week of treatment.

Oxygen Facial

 

Oxygen Infusion has a strengthening effect on skin and makes it more resilient and glowing. This treatment allows the deep permeation of serums .
